Overview

The YHT-590BL Home Theater System has a 100W 5-Channel Receiver with 8 DSP Programs, iPod Compatibility, Five Speakers, 100W Subwoofer and Four SCENE Buttons. Four SCENE buttons make operating the receiver easier than ever. Two volume-setting functions are including on this receiver for additional convenience. The YHT-590BL receiver is capable of delivering large amounts of reserve power for accurate reproduction of the high-energy peaks that are especially prevalent in digital audio sources. This system features dual HDMI inputs and one output that can handle all HD format including 720p, 1080i and 1080p so you can connect two HDMI sources, such as a DVD player and a high definition set-top box, and enjoy the highest possible quality with an HD display. You have a choice of eight unique Yamaha CINEMA DSP surround programs to bring out the full audio potential of your entertainment sources. Great sound for great price!

I have this sound system working on a 91 inch Samsung DLP and it is wonderful. It took a little help from a son to get it connected. Everyone's situation requires different connections and all of them are not covered in the instructions. So it takes a little expermenting and figuring out. But the sound is wonderful. .... Great HTIB! Great price!
I am a bonafide audiophile. My sound has to absolutely perfect. And this system does just that. I'm not going to go into crazy detail sighting impedance, frequency ranges and all that technical non sense that means nothing to the normal user. The point is it sounds phenomenal. It's well balanced, full and customizable. Set up was a breeze. The only con that I can make is that the HDMI input passes the audio to the device you are connecting to. Sounds fantastic...and looks good doing it.
I decided to go with the Yamaha 590bl after several weeks of research on Yamaha and Onkyo HTIBs in the 300 to 600 price range. I was a little apprehensive as there weren't too many reviews to be found on this particular model, but seeing and hearing it at one of the local electronic stores convinced me.
