Incredible sound... and a great system.
This theater system has great sound, was easy to hook up with our new Sony XBR 52" tv and our new sony blu-ray player. I would recommend it in all aspects, with one exception. I really wish it was wireless... at least wireless for a couple of the speakers that really should be placed across the room. It was a pretty high price to pay for a system that still requires wires. I would have given it a 5 star instead of a 4 if it would have been wireless for a couple of the speakers. .... Read more

great
i would not call this the holy grail of sournd sound but sounds great with blu ray movies and my ps3. just when i think its just right everyone eles in other rooms of the house say its too loud. so i cant watch anything at night with out almost turning the volume all the way down. i was watching santa claus 3 and my dad had to look outside think there was a train. not too hard to set up. over all great .... Fantastic
This Sony surround sound system really is exactly what I wanted. Granted... I've only used it for a couple days. No problems what so ever. And I really like the look and feel of the taller speakers than of Sony's other models. The auto-calibration gave me almost the exact sound and levels I was looking for too. (I had to turn the sub down since I'm in an apartment!) I've played Lord of the Rings, Cloverfield, Transformers, Wall-e, and some others and the sound is one of the best I've ever .... Read more

Don't Buy Sony
Sony customer service and repair are the worst I've encountered. They refused to fix my home theater system receiver that never worked properly yet was under warranty. If you're cool with buying electronics from an unresponsive, difficult and dishonest company - then Sony is the way to go. .... Read more

Well worth it
I waited,and researched,and waited some more before I finally decided to purchase this system...........and boy I should have gotten it earlier!We purchased a new HD TV and needed speakers that would look nice but still have great sound,these fit both needs.The HDMI inputs are easy to hook up BD and SAT.There's also a really cool setting that automatically adjusts your audio setting to what the signal was recorded in.Definite thumbs up! ....
