This Home Theater system includes five micro speakers and a unique subwoofer allowing for flexible room placement. Extend your music with Digital Media Port (DMP) and the supplied cradle for iPod players. DMP provides the ability to connect select Walkman(R) and iPod players as well as Bluetooth-enabled devices while the iPod cradle lets you charge, control and play back the music stored on your iPod. This system also comes with S-AIR digital wireless capabilities for connecting compatible S-AIR devices (sold separately) and streaming audio in up to four rooms of your home. In addition, the DAV-IS50 has BRAVIA Theater Sync technology for one-touch operation of your compatible Sony BRAVIA HDTV and Home Entertainment components. Excellent system - great value for money
The Sony DAV-IS50 has been mine now for a few weeks and it just keeps amazing me how much quality (and quantity!) sound it is able to produce from such small satellite speakers and how much functionality and easy of use the small unit offers. Thanks to the wireless rear speakers, I had no worries about cables running through my room. The subwoofer is huge and it took a bit of trial and error to find a spot for it where it wasn't a nuisance. The rest of the set-up was a breeze.
