Overview

Home-Theater is more than just widescreen TV. It’s the sound – 5.1 channels! The included S-AIR System allows for easy set up of your rear speakers by sending the audio information wirelessly from the main unit. By adding the optional AIR-SA10 you can expand the systems capability to support multi-room listening. The DAV-HDX279W also includes an iPod cradle and an integrated five DVD/CD changer can upconvert your DVD to a Full 1080p output on a 1080p HDTV screen through HDMI connection. Portable Audio Enhancer with front input provides the highest quality playback of your music into a traditional Home Theater system. With the One Touch Play feature, operations that took several steps have been reduced to one. Press the PLAY button on the Home Theater remote, watch the Home Theater system turn on; then the BRAVIA television will turn on and switch to the correct video input. An ideal listening experience is only a button away. Simply place the included microphone in your listening position, push a single button and speaker position, distance and delays are automatically calibrated. Sony’s Digital Signal Processing uses feedback between the microphone and receiver to optimize sound settings. S-Master means superb accuracy using a digital-to-digital process. Clear separation of signals and balanced sound reproduction is what you can expect from S-Master amplification. Best for the bucks
This sounds great (ecpecially when factoring in price), does everything I wanted, includeing AM/FM, and was not too difficult to install. The specifications on the front and rear speakers are the same, so you can switch them if, as was my case, you want to use the speaker stands in the rear. .... Read more

GREAT PRODUCT
This system is incredible!! speakers are great quality and AV unit is not oversized. I bought this system mainly because of the 2 RCA audio inputs. most higher end HTIB systems have only 1. I also really like the "wireless" speakers. Even though they do need to be wired to the AMP it is much easier to set up these speakers without having to run wires from the front of the room to the back. the S-Air unit works very well too. BIG BANK FOR THE BUCK
THIS IS A GREAT SYSTEM FOR THE MONEY, A SUPER VALUE. THE BEST PARTS ARE THAT THE SURROUND SYSTEM IS REMOTE SO YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HIDE WIRES FROM THE SYSTEM TO THE REAR SPEAKERS UNDER CARPETS OR AROUND THE BASE BOARD. BUT THE REAL KICKER IS THE REMOTE AIR-S SYSTEM. CAN PUT IT IN ANY ROOM IN THE HOUSE AND GET WHAT EVER YOU HAVE ON THE SYSTEM. I WAS TOTALLY SHOCKED THAT YOU CAN EVEN GET THE TV SOUND. Home theater
Overall I think this is a very good home theater packege. It ewas relatively east to set up. My only complaint is that the "wireless" rear speakers aren't really wireless, the wire is run from wireless rear receiver, however the speakers sound very good. Great sound system for the price
I bought this sound system a couple of weeks back and in my opinion is one of the best buys for 2008.
Sound quality is great, you can watch movies and music like being in a movie theater.
Two thing I didn't like about the system:
1- The wireless unit; sometimes you loose the connection even though you are in the range of the signal (it comes back after a couple of seconds but still its annoying).
