Not so simple.........
I bought this HT after purchasing the Samsung 650 Series 50" Plasma and the Samsung 1500 BluRay player. I was hoping for a single remote to control everything- the AnyNet feature sounded good. On my own, I found out that the TV remote works both the TV and BluRay, but not the HT receiver. Same for the remote that came with the BluRay. The HT remote works the HT and TV, but has no control over the BluRay functions like start/stop/ pause. I called SAnsung, and they confirmed my findings. They sugg .... Read more

Very Good value
This replaced an older Pioneer system. The sound quality was much much better. I found it easy to install. The only problems occurred when I tried to link it with my Samsung blue ray and LCD TV using the Any-net feature. Once I got that straight it switches between the units automatically really neat. Also be aware that you will need a fiber optic cable to go from this unit to the TV in order to get sound while using the TV. .... Read more

Semi Disappointed
Some problems. Good sound and great features if they would all work properly. Subwoofer does not stay on if the volume goes down too low for too long, but the power button on the subwoofer is still on. The Anynet with my LN40A750 Series TV does not work all the time, have to go through the setup more times than one should have too, if the power on either unit is turned off for very long. Surround sound to maximize pleasure on new flat screen/blue ray system
Samsung HT-AS720ST Blu-Ray-Matching 5.1 Channel Home Theater System (Set of Seven, Black) -- It was not as easy to set up as promised, and took 3 of us to figure out along with my new samsung blu ray and LN46A1080P Samsung tv. The sound is great. Using it is a little more complex than a normal consumer should have to deal with.
