The Bose® Lifestyle® V20 system changes the face of component Home Theater. It offers a versatile foundation for all your audio and video sources, including those with HDMI. Add your own Blu-ray DiscTM or HD-DVD player, and enjoy exhilarating surround sound for movies, music, sports and more. This system features compact Direct/Reflecting ® speaker arrays, each only 4½” high, and a horizontal center-channel speaker that complements flat-panel TVs. A powerful Acoustimass® module reproduces emphatic low notes that add depth to your movies and music. The unique system design lets you hide more equipment. There’s no need for a large, complex receiver and a multitude of remotes. All you see and interact with is an elegant display panel. A well-labeled media console simplifies your component connections and tucks neatly away. The entire system is controlled with an intuitive universal remote. Buyer Beware
I cannot tell why how many problems I have had with BOSE home theater systems. WIth a name like BOSE, I am shocked. The problem lies in the fact that they need to stick to speakers. They cannot handle the simple task of a CD/DVD player. The problems started when I bought a BOSE 3-2-1 unit a few years ago. I had multiple problems with DVDs freezing and they had to send me 3 different media centers. After they got sick of hearing us complaining, they "upgraded" me to the Lifestyles. For the .... You pay for the name
I know I am paying more to get less, but what can i say? It's a Bose system. I am a true audiophile and very hard to satisfy. I settled for Bose, because they know how to engineer sound.

I am running the system using HDMI, and I have had the sound go out on me three to four times. I called bose tech support, and I am keeping an eye on the problem. I have no doubt Bose will take care of the problem should it continue. However the warranty is one year, and Bose offers no extended warr .... Read more

Amazing Sound
Every Bose product I've bought, while not cheap, is top of the line, and this one is no exception. Set up was easy, and sound quality is incredible. System is custom tuned with an included headset for 5 distinct listening locations in the room. After the tuning, the system became transparent; we constantly look around to see ambient noises in 5.1 movies! Worth the Wait
We waited over ten years before finally taking the plunge with Bose and it was well worth the wait. The sound quality is superb and it does everything I need it to do. I test ran it with Saving Private Ryan and finally re-experienced the theater quality sound I couldn't get with our Klipsch or Sony systems. HOWEVER, it took me two weekends to figure out how to make all the connections (DirecTV, TIVO, DVD...) work like they are supposed to; if I had it to do over again I would pay the Geek Squ .... Does what's supposed to do
First time buyer/user of Bose. We were looking for good quality sound and small size. The design is very good: visitors cannot tell where the sound comes from: speakers were easily installed and incorporated in our current living room. The sound is great for movies and very good for music. The more dynamic the range the better the sound. It does well with PCM 2.0, 5.1, the mp3, wav files and nice with mono recordings.
Upgrading video signal is good too. Standard cable looks better on 40" L .... Read more
